September 28, 2012 (Arlington, Va.) The Automotive Composites Alliance (ACA), a Composites Growth Initiative (CGI) committee of the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) met with engineers at the Ford Motor Company’s Research and Innovation Center. This is part of an ongoing initiative of the ACA to meet with key original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) who are customers of ACMA members.
“It is so important that we meet with our customers in this kind of information setting,” says Interim ACA Chair Terry O’Donovan of Core Molding Technologies. “Composites offer unique solutions to problems like lightweighting while maintaining strength and durability. Understanding our clients’ needs helps us and the composites industry provide the best solutions.”
“ACMA is dedicated to reaching out to OEMs, engineers, architects and specifiers through our Composites Growth Initiative committees, like the ACA,” says ACMA President Lori Luchak of Miles Fiberglass & Composites. “We’re very pleased with the results of meetings like this that give us the opportunity to learn more about our customers.”
