July 31, 2013 (Arlington, VA) — The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and the Society for the Advancement of Material Process Engineering (SAMPE) introduce CAMX — The Composites and Advanced Materials Expo.

This new conference and exposition, co-produced by ACMA and SAMPE, serves the entire advanced materials and composites industry. Taking place October 13-16, 2014 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., CAMX replaces both ACMA’s and SAMPE’s Annual Shows: ACMA COMPOSITES and the SAMPE Conference and Exhibition. CAMX brings together the strengths of both organizations, along with that of Gardner Business Media – the official media partner of CAMX.

CAMX will be the one source for connecting and advancing all aspects of the world’s Composites and Advanced Materials communities: R&D, engineering, manufacturing, service providers and end-users. Regardless of the application – transportation, aerospace, marine, wind energy, software, construction and infrastructure, medical, academics, sports and leisure – CAMX will be America’s go-to event for products, solutions, networking and advanced industry thinking for all market segments. The trusted and valued aspects of both organizations’ annual events will continue to be present at CAMX, including technical presentations, expert speakers, innovation product awards and industry leading companies in the exhibit hall.

The event will provide an expert technical conference program, a marketplace for business opportunities, product displays and demonstrations, and access to professionals within the composites, advanced materials, and end user markets. The conference program will take place October 13-16, 2014 and an exhibit hall will be open October 14-16, 2014. CAMX is expected to attract over 8,500 attendees and more than 500 exhibitors.

“Attendees and exhibitors are looking for new business contacts and ways to use new materials and processes to better meet customer demands,” says ACMA President Tom Dobbins. “CAMX will provide all those involved in the composites and advanced materials product stream with the best place in the America’s to do this.”

“Responses from our exhibitors have been phenomenal. Since announcing this joint event, exhibitors have demonstrated amazing support, even without full details, by booking space in numbers that have exceeded our expectations,” says SAMPE Chief Executive Officer Gregg Balko.
