Nov. 18, 2015 (Arlington, VA) – Held last month in Dallas, Texas, was CAMX – The Composites and Advanced Materials Expo – North America’s go-to composites event for products, solutions, networking and advanced industry thinking. This year’s event covered a multitude of exhibitors and topics in R&D, engineering, manufacturing, service providers and end-users and applications: automotive, aerospace, marine, wind energy, software, construction and infrastructure, medical, academics, sports.

CAMX, co-produced by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), welcomed 7,470 attendees from 50 countries and every state in the U.S., surpassing last year’s total of 7,100 attendees. The exhibit floor space was also larger than 2014, with 549 exhibiting companies and 111,000 net square feet of sold exhibit booth space. With 309 sessions on topics covering every subject in the industry, and 360 expert speakers, conference attendees had over 13 concurrent tracks of topics to choose from.

“In just two years, CAMX has become a worldwide destination for composites professionals to innovate, learn, network and display products,” said Heather Rhoderick, Sr. Vice President of Events and Information at ACMA and CAMX Show Director. “The success of CAMX is a testament to the growth in the industry and the need for professionals to stay on top of the latest and greatest new developments.”

“The industry’s response to CAMX not only demonstrates CAMX’s value but also the opportunities our exhibitors see at CAMX to grow their businesses. And, what is even more encouraging, the increasing number of new market segments who participate in CAMX solidifies the very exciting growth potential of the composites and advance materials market”, said SAMPE CEO Gregg Balko.

“CAMX is the leading event in North America as no other event fully encompasses the entire spectrum of the composites marketplace – from high-volume/low cost materials to highperformance/high cost materials.”
