May 4, 2016, (Arlington, VA) – The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) is excited to announce that the month of May is Certified Composites Technician (CCT) Month. Throughout the month, ACMA, its members and stakeholders will celebrate the CCT program—the gold standard for composites training and the only certification program of its kind in the composites industry.
Created by ACMA in 1999 in response to the industry’s clear need for uniform training and technical skills, the CCT program provides consistent core knowledge for all current and aspiring members of the composites industry. The program is designed to elevate industry standards, enhance production performance, upgrade individual levels of knowledge and skill, and recognize professional expertise.
The CCT program offers various program-specific certifications, covering a wide range of processes and products within the composites industry, including cast polymer, compression molding, corrosion, light resin transfer molding, open molding, vacuum infusion, and wind blade repair.
The CCT program represents ACMA’s commitment to workforce development for the composites industry. It promotes excellence and expertise for all composites industry professionals from any skill level, professional background, or market segment.
“As the composites industry grows, the CCT program is an essential resource that meets the evolving and increasing demands of the emerging composites industry,” said ACMA President Tom Dobbins. “ACMA strongly encourages businesses to take advantage of the program in order to help employees develop the background necessary to working effectively with customers.”
In observance of CCT Month, ACMA will offer a 10% discount on individual and group enrollments through May 31. To learn more about the Certified Composites Technician (CCT) program, visit www.compositescertification.org
