December 14, 2016 (Arlington, Va.) – The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and the European Pultrusion Technology Association (EPTA) announce the first ever North American Pultrusion Conference, which will take place April 4-5, 2017, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. The event will bring together composites industry leaders, customers, manufacturers and suppliers to discuss opportunities for pultrusion.
Pultrusion is a continuous, closed molding process used to manufacture products that are incredibly strong and have excellent structural properties.
“Many of our members, and many businesses in the composites industry, use pultrusion to create world-class, state-of the art products that can be applied to a wide range of markets, including construction, infrastructure, energy, aerospace and automotive,” said Tom Dobbins, ACMA President.
The conference will feature presentations from international industry leaders with forecasts on trends, new pultrusion applications and technologies, and new information about standards and quality. As part of the partnership, the EPTA will provide European conference speakers. Next year, ACMA will provide support for EPTA’s 2018 World Pultrusion Conference. Together, both organizations will pull their expertise to give the North American composites industry a truly comprehensive event that includes an international view of pultrusion issues and trends.
“By highlighting how pultrusion is used within various industries and market segments, we hope to increase industry-wide understanding and knowledge of the benefits of pultrusion,” explained Dr. Elmar Witten, EPTA Managing Director.
Online registration for the conference will be available soon. For more information, visit www.acmanet.org/pultrusion.
