I think we can all agree, March 2020 has been one of the most difficult months in recent memory. Few of us would have thought on March 1 that we would find ourselves where we do on March 31. By now, most of us know someone who has contracted COVID-19 and we all are feeling the impact, and some of us are feeling it most. These are our family, our coworkers, our industry colleagues, our friends and our communities. Difficult times can drive us apart, but they can also bring us together. At ACMA, we are committed to helping our resilient industry community and working together toward a better day.
In the coming weeks and months, ACMA’s Government Affairs team has refocused our top priority to helping you navigate this difficult time. Congress has taken significant action by passing a $2 trillion economic package last week, but I’m sure you have more questions than answers. More will come from key Administration offices like the Small Business Administration, the US Treasury, the Department of Labor and more to help you take advantage of new programs to keep your company afloat, your workers employed, and your future viable.
We hope you’ll join our conversation on the federal stimulus package this Thursday at 3pm (see details below). This is the second installment in an ongoing series of programming to help bring clarity in the midst of confusion. We’ve also enclosed some tools below to help you know what’s coming as the federal government retools for response.
We will keep our resources page updated with the latest information and keep these emails flowing regularly. Please help us help you by letting John Schweitzer, Gabrielle Goldfarb or myself know what’s on your mind and what questions you need answered. In this unchartered territory, chances are you’re not alone.
We’re all in this together as we work toward a brighter tomorrow.
