ACMA Members,
Just a quick note today. No major updates on my end, but I will continue to remind you that Paycheck Protection Loans remain available to companies that need them. SBA has updated its FAQs with additional program details for potential borrowers.
I spoke with Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) yesterday who is leading an effort to expand that program. He is calling for additional dollars injected into PPP, as well as expanding eligible loan amounts to 4 x payroll costs, rather than the current maximum of 2.5 x payroll. ACMA will continue to be a vocal advocate in support of shoring up and expanding this critical program.
Let’s not forget that at this time, your company has a story to tell your elected leaders. In usual years, ACMA is excited to organize dozens of plant tours for senators and representatives. That may not work today, but they still need to know how your company, employees, and customers are doing – the good and the bad. ACMA is happy to organize private calls for you and your team with Members of Congress and their staff. If you would like to connect with Capitol Hill remotely, reach out to my colleague Gabrielle Goldfarb.
Speaking of connecting with Congress, don’t forget to tune into this afternoon’s town hall with Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN). She has assured us she’ll spare the sugar coating and give us the inside scoop – register below! Next week we are very pleased to bring you another session from a leading voice for composites on the other side of the aisle, Congresswoman Haley Stevens (D-MI). We’ll get you those details soon.
If there’s anything else ACMA can do to help your company today, let me know.
My very best,
MJ Carrabba
Director, Government Affairs
