The CGI program comprises eleven self-governed and self-supported committees categorized into three focus areas: market, product, and processes. Their collective aim is to advance the utilization and comprehension of composites and composite materials across many diverse markets. These committees have multiple objectives and work diligently by conducting various activities tailored to each committee’s focus, encompassing education, marketing, standards development, outreach, and advocacy. Their primary mission is to facilitate the adoption of composites as alternatives to traditional materials. All committees represent the supply chain of material suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, consultants, and academics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mission:<\/strong> The mission is to educate and promote the use, understanding, and specification of architectural composites products for interior and exterior architectural construction applications. Division members work together to develop codes, standards, and specifications for composites, and educate architects, specifiers, and end-users on architectural composites advancements.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/strong>To be an industry leading consortium of manufacturers that create a forum to advance industry best practice for the composites architectural industry to ensure that composites are accepted by designers, architects, engineers, consumers, specifiers and adopted by consumers.<\/p>\n Mission:<\/span><\/b> The mission is to serve as the composites industry source of expert information for automotive, truck, bus, and rail industries to OEM\u2019s and the media by representing FRP composites manufacturers and material suppliers who actively promote the benefits and use of composites for these industries.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/span><\/b>To be recognized as the authoritative and comprehensive source of information regarding composites applications for those who specify and use automotive components.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mission: <\/span><\/b>The mission of the Council is to nurture and expand the role of composites in sustainable development including initiatives that enable composite manufacturers to understand what sustainability means to their customers, achieve greater sustainability through best practices and recycling innovation, and conduct Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of lightweight durable composites to grow business opportunities into a variety of markets.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/span><\/b>To support growth in the composites industry by improving and showcasing the sustainability of composites.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mission: <\/span><\/b>The mission is to promote the use of FRP composites technology and products for corrosion-resistant industrial applications. The Division informs and educates end users, specifiers, and engineers on the benefits of composites in the design of corrosion resistant equipment, provides guidance and standards for the design of FRP equipment for industrial applications. The Division provides a unified voice for fabricators on issues relating to quality, production, safety, and regulations of importance in the corrosion segment of the composites industry.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/span><\/b>To expand existing markets, develop new applications, embrace new technologies and promote fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites in corrosion applications.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mission: <\/span><\/b>The mission of the Council is to develop, maintain and promote the use of an ANSI nationally accepted fiberglass grating manual, promote, and accelerate the use of fiberglass composite grating specifications among architects, engineers, designers, and specifiers, be the leading source of information on fiberglass composite gratings, and develop technical and other information to educate and assist architects, engineers, designers, specifiers and other potential users<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/span><\/b>To promote the use of fiberglass grating to architects, engineers, designers, specifiers, and others.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mission: <\/span><\/b>The mission is to promote the use and growth of FRP reinforcement (rebar, tendons, and grids) used in concrete and masonry applications through education, development of quality procedures, industry specifications, codes, standards and field application guidelines, and legislative advocacy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/span><\/b>To create a forum for composites industry manufacturers that ensures FRP rebars, tendons, grids, and associated products are accepted by designers, engineers, and specifiers in construction and civil engineering applications.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mission: <\/span><\/b>The mission is to promote the design, development, manufacturing, and use of composites in demanding applications across industries such as defense, aerospace, automotive, advanced air mobility, wind and other alternative energy, cryogenic, compressed gases, sporting goods, and medical where high performance composites often outperform traditional materials in a multitude of criteria.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision:<\/span><\/b> To become the leading advocate for high performance applications of composite materials and processes through education, marketing, and, where practical, standards development. To become an industry forum for collaboration and to foster innovation in manufacturing, product development, and new applications among our member companies.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mission: <\/span><\/b>The mission of the Council is to foster continuous improvement in the design, manufacture, marketing, and use of pultruded products. Council members represent the industry before government agencies, academic institutions, and end-user industry organizations for the advancement of the pultrusion industry. The Council works to compile and distribute technical data of interest to the industry and the development of meaningful standards.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/span><\/b>To continually promote the use and acceptance of pultruded products.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mission: <\/span><\/b>The mission of the Council is to coordinate the development and promotion of composites technology and products used in the repair or replacement of transportation structures. The Council partners with trade, technical and professional organizations to identify and reduce barriers to market acceptance, promotes education and awareness of composites technology and provides leadership in the development of codes and standards. Council members also engage government agencies and legislators to identify programs and solicit funding to facilitate the specification of composites technology and demonstration projects.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/span><\/b>As representing the composites industry, promote the adoption of composites technology solutions to owners, engineers, and specifiers that cause composites to become a mainstream material and product choice for transportation structures requiring repair or replacement.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mission: <\/span><\/b>The mission is to improve the resiliency and reliability of power delivery and communications infrastructure by promoting the use and understanding of FRP composite poles and crossarms for electrical distribution, transmission, and communication structure applications. Council members undertake proactive activities dealing with education, advocacy and legislation, regulation, marketing, and development of codes and standards.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/span><\/b>As representing the composites industry, promote the adoption of composites technology solutions to owners, engineers, specifiers, government agencies, regulators, and the public to ensure that composites become a mainstream material and preferred product choice for utility and communication structures.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Mission: <\/span><\/b>The Resin Managers Council will address critical environmental, health, and safety issues relating to unsaturated polyester resin manufacturing, handling, and use. Develop uniform standards and test methods for the industry where appropriate and support the development and expansion of the composites market. Be a source of accurate, relevant information about the industry to our members, suppliers, and regulators and proactively educate and inform legislators and regulators about our industry to negotiate legislation and regulation that is fair to our industry by supporting ACMA\u2019s Government Affairs committee in those efforts.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Vision: <\/span><\/b>The Resin Managers Council (RMC) will provide leadership in establishing a cooperative industry environment to share technical, health, safety, and related data and support education to ensure the composites industry meets its legal and ethical responsibilities in the communities in which we live and work.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n<\/div> \n\n\n CGI Committees are self-governed and self-funded. Committee dues are established by the committee members and are based on the ACMA fiscal year. For suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers, Committee dues vary from $100 – $1500 depending on the committee. For most Committees, there are no dues requirements for consultants, academics, and other member categories.
