Climate <\/span>B<\/span>ill <\/span>A<\/span>pproved by California <\/span>L<\/span>egislature Will\u00a0<\/span>R<\/span>equire <\/span>R<\/span>eporting<\/span> by <\/span>L<\/span>arge <\/span>C<\/span>ompanies and their <\/span>S<\/span>uppliers<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Under bills passed by the state legislature September 14<\/span> and expected to be signed by Governor Newsome, <\/span>c<\/span>ompanies with more than <\/span>$1<\/span>B<\/span> in annual<\/span> global<\/span> rev<\/span>enue and th<\/span>at do business in California would <\/span>be required<\/span> to annually<\/span> provide the state with data on<\/span> emission of climate warning gases includi<\/span>ng from their supply chains<\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n ACMA cosigned a September 18 letter<\/a> calling on Newsome to veto the bill. The letter argues that SB 253 will have an outsized impact on the small and medium-sized business community.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Resources prepared<\/span> under ACMA\u2019s Climate <\/span>Impact Project will help composites manufacturers prepare the <\/span>e<\/span>mission estimates that will be needed <\/span>if supplying products to the <\/span>approximately 5,000<\/span> companies<\/span> obligated<\/span> to <\/span>repor<\/span>t under<\/span> the Cali<\/span>fornia <\/span>reporting program.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
