EPA Prop<\/span>osal would Require A<\/span>dditional<\/span>\u00a0Emission Reporting by Many Composites Manufacturers<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n EPA proposed July 25 to require under the agency\u2019s Air Emission Reporting Requirements (AERR) the reporting by <\/span>manufacturers and other <\/span>stationary sources of emission of styrene and other hazardous air pollutants. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The AERR currently <\/span>requires<\/span> only the reporting by states of criteria pollutants and precursors<\/span>, and<\/span> HAP emission<\/span> data<\/span> reported <\/span>by sources <\/span>to states are<\/span> not consistently or reliably <\/span>forwarded<\/span> to EPA. <\/span><\/span>The agency claims it needs to collect data on HAP emissions directly from sources to support its air quality modeling and environmental justice programs.<\/span> HAP emission reporting by sources under the proposed revised AERR would begin 2027. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n ACMA <\/span>participated<\/span> with other small business interests<\/span> in a pre-proposal review <\/span>of the AERR revisions <\/span>and as a result EPA made<\/span> several changes reducing small business impacts. <\/span>EPA\u2019s<\/span> propos<\/span>ed revisions to the AERR <\/span>and <\/span>additional<\/span> resources are available on <\/span><\/span>EPA\u2019s <\/span>website<\/span><\/span><\/a> or<\/span> contact John Schweitzer<\/a> for more information.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" EPA Proposal would Require Additional\u00a0Emission Reporting by Many Composites Manufacturers EPA proposed July 25 to require under the agency\u2019s Air … <\/p>\n
