OSHA Requires More Firms to Electronically Report Workplace Injury Data<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n OSHA\u2019s July 21 <\/span><\/span>final rule<\/span><\/span><\/a> amending workplace illness and injury reporting requirements <\/span><\/span>requires manufacturers and many other employers to electronically <\/span>submit<\/span> injury and illness information to OSHA that employers <\/span>are already required to<\/span> keep under the recordkeeping regulation. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Specifically, OSHA is amending its regulation to require establishments with 100 or more employees in <\/span>plastics products manufacturing and <\/span>certain<\/span> other<\/span> designated industries to electronically <\/span>submit<\/span> information from their OSHA Forms 300 and 301 to OSHA once a year<\/span>. Establishments with 20 to 249 employees<\/span> in <\/span>certain industries will continue to be <\/span>required<\/span> to electronically <\/span>submit<\/span> information from their OSHA Form 300A annual summary to OSHA once a year.
