Composites Bridge Design for Engineers
The ACMA Transportation Structures Council is hosting a Composites Bridge Design Workshop: Design of Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Composites Bridges Using AASHTO and Other Specifications at the 2022 International Accelerated Bridge Construction Conference: Including Advanced Bridge Technologies, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to Noon Eastern in Miami, FL. The workshop will share the background and code provisions related to design of FRP composites bridges and provide cutting-edge material and product advancements to design and specify FRP composites products that can assist attendees when building new composites bridges for ABC applications. Specifically, there are 4 educational presentations covering girder, pedestrian walkways, and vehicular bridge deck design along with an overview of installations to an expected audience from over 30 DOTs.
