Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enroll in the program?

Enrolling in the CCT Program is easy. Purchase the enrollment through the Community Hub at: https://my.acmanet.org. Each enrollment includes study materials (including hardcopy book for initial enrollments), the exam, and a certificate upon successful completion.

How do I access my study resources and exam?

After enrolling online, you have immediate access to online resources to begin certification work through the Education Hub. You can access the Education Hub through your MyACMA portal; all study materials and the exam are completed in the Education Hub. Click here for a step-by-step guide on accessing the Education Hub.

How long do I have to take my certification exam?

Candidates have one (1) year from the date of enrollment to take the exam. An additional 30-day grace period will be granted to candidates that contact ACMA within their enrollment period. If a candidate fails to contact ACMA to take their exam within one (1) year of registration, a new enrollment and payment must be submitted

I heard that the CCT program study guides are a two-book system, what does that mean?

Candidates who enroll in any of the CCT’s receive two study guides. The first text, Basic Composites Manual, will be the same for all programs. The second text will apply to each specific certification program. Candidates must study both books to be fully prepared for the CCT exam. Specific areas as indicated in the body of knowledge document for each specialty are the most critical for each test. The online Education Hub also provides additional resources.

When will I receive my study materials?

Your study materials will be shipped to the address specified in your ACMA profile within 5-7 business days. If your materials need to be shipped to a location outside of the United States additional shipping charges will apply and it will take longer to receive them. To receive a USPS tracking number via email, contact CCT@acmanet.org. You will have immediate access to the Education Hub through your MyACMA portal; click here for a step-by-step guide on accessing the Education Hub.

I am a current candidate and I am ready to take my exam, now what?

As soon as you are ready to take your exam you must complete the Proctor Information Form included in your online certification package. This form requires your proctor’s information, including name, position, email, and phone number. ACMA requires at least 2 weeks’ notice prior to the date you select. ACMA will then contact your proctor via email with an exam code and instructions to administer the exam on the ACMA Education Hub. ACMA is not responsible for scheduling with your proctor and this step must be completed by you two weeks prior to your test date.

Can I take the exam online?

Yes. All CCT exams are completed on the ACMA Education Hub. Exams will be graded upon completion with results available immediately on screen. All CCT recertifications are also completed on the ACMA Education Hub.

Can I take the CCT exam without first enrolling in the full course?

If candidates have prerequisite experience and wish to only enroll in a certification exam with no supporting materials, this option is available for $200 per test enrollment. Enrollment can be requested by submitting candidate and proctor contact information to cct@acmanet.org.

Who can be a CCT Exam Proctor?

Proctors that are CCT Instructors who understand the material are preferred, but not required. Check with local companies or suppliers to see if they have a CCT Instructor on staff. Other options include HR or training professionals, someone in a management position at your current company, or a local college, university, professional or technical test center that would be able to administer the exam. Some schools are willing to do so for free, others for a small, reasonable fee. ACMA is not responsible for locating or scheduling with your proctor and this step must be completed by you two weeks prior to your test date.

I completed and passed my exam; when will I receive my certificate?

Immediately after completing an exam on the ACMA Education Hub, results will be provided on screen. Successful certification will provide a temporary certificate that can be printed, and a permanent certificate will be mailed to your Education Hub address within 3 to 4 weeks.

I failed the exam; can I take it again?

Yes. A candidate who fails the exam has three months from the date of their last exam to request a retake of the exam. Contact cct@acmanet.org to reschedule your updated testing date. A $100 re-examination fee will apply.

As a candidate or proctor, can I report test questions or administration was not done fairly or properly?

A formal review or complaint can be filed via email to cct@acmanet.org. Please include your phone , full name, student information, and test type and date. Any details of non-conformance, test errors or problems should be included. All submissions will receive a review and response.
