Training Overview

The Composite Utility Pole Training program is a one-day, instructor-led course designed to prepare utility personnel, contractors, and field crews to safely and effectively work with fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP) utility poles.

Developed in collaboration with ACMA’s Utility & Communications Structures Council, this training combines classroom instruction with hands-on field demonstrations to reinforce proper techniques and real-world application.

Participants also receive access to a structured digital learning course to support pre-training preparation and reinforce key concepts following the session.

As composite utility poles continue to see increased adoption across the industry, proper handling, installation, and maintenance practices are critical to ensuring safety, performance, and long-term reliability.

This training equips field personnel with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to reduce installation errors, prevent damage, and improve overall job site safety.
