ACMA Takes Center Stage at JEC 2023
John Busel, ACMA VP, Composites Growth Initiative, participated in a featured panel at JEC titled ‘4 Rs (Recycling, Reusing, Repurposing, Repairing): Composites in a Circular Economy’.
The panel discussed state-of-the-art possible circular models for Composite Materials and how to successfully close the loop on composite materials. The session was packed – standing room only for over 250 attendees. It featured panelists representing US and European trade associations, composites recyclers, materials suppliers, and designers.
During the panel, John Busel discussed the efforts of ACMA Climate Impacts Project, the maturity of the evolving composites recycling suppliers in the US, and initiatives that ACMA is doing to educate the composites industry, policy makers, and end users on the sustainability benefits of composites.
