In a Rose Garden speech yesterday the President announced the following reciprocal tariff policy:  

  • 10% universal tariff on all imports on April 5, 2025 at 12:01am.  Items in transit at that time will be allowed to enter without this duty. 
  • Additional individualized tariffs on approximately 60 trade partners on April 9, 2025 at 12:01am, including: 34% on Chinese goods, 20% on EU goods, 46% on Vietnam, 32% on Taiwan, 24% on Japan, 26% on India, 25% on South Korea, 36% on Thailand, 31% on Switzerland, 32% on Indonesia, 24% on Malaysia, 49% on Cambodia, 30% on South Africa, 37% on Bangladesh, 29% on Pakistan, 44% on Sri Lanka, 17% on Philippines, 17% on Israel, 18% on Nicaragua, 15% on Norway, 20% on Jordan, 47% on Madagascar, 44% on Myanmar, 28% on Tunisia, 27% on Kazakhstan, 37% on Serbia, 21% on Cote D’Ivoire, 48% on Laos, 37% on Botswana.  
  • Items currently facing a 232 tariff will not be included (see below for a list)
