July 27, 2021 (Arlington, VA) – On March 22 – 24, 2022, the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) will host 200+ attendees and industry professionals at the Hyatt La Jolla at Aventine for the Thermoplastic Composites Conference, an acclaimed education event that will explore the latest applications and technology for high-performance thermoplastic composites in a range of end-use applications including aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, industrial, consumer, and construction. The detailed conference program, including dozens of speaker and session descriptions, will be announced late-2021. The three-day event will share new applications, as well as best practices, from industry leaders who have:

  • designed, simulated and modeled materials, parts and processes for improved manufacturability;
  • reduced material costs for both current and next generation raw and intermediary, while maintaining quality and capacity for scale-up;
  • and optimized process automation to reduce the number of manufacturing steps and improve processing reliability and consistency.

Abstract submissions will be accepted to present in the conference program through October 1, 2021. The conference program will feature several panels and keynote presenters from leading OEMs. The program will also feature networking with world-leading suppliers, manufacturers, federal agencies, and universities involved with thermoplastic composites including Arkema, Johns Manville, Boeing, VW Group, ATC Manufacturing, NASA, University of Maine, Trilion Quality Systems, Qarbon Aerospace, Victrex, Suprem, Teijin, Covestro, and Agesia. Previous keynote presenters included Randy Wilkerson, Technical Fellow at Boeing, who shared the latest processes and applications for thermoplastic composites in aerospace and aviation during the inaugural Thermoplastic Composites Conference in 2020.
“From autonomous vehicles to urban air mobility, the innovation and untapped potential in thermoplastic composite materials and applications will shape the future. As demand for thermoplastic composites solutions increases, composites manufacturers and suppliers must be ready to design and model the materials, parts, tools, and processes that will meet the OEM’s needs and expand their capacity to deliver groundbreaking products and experiences to their customers.,” said ACMA President, Cindy L. Squires, Esq.

Additionally, the event will host over 20 exhibitors and sponsors in a marketplace showcasing the industry’s innovative solutions in products and services. Contact ACMA Business Development Manager, John Catapano, to learn about exhibit and sponsorship opportunities.

Special early registration rates increase after January 22, 2022. Conference program, attending companies, confirmed exhibitors and sponsors, as well as housing/travel details will be announced via the conference website in the coming months.
