Each year, ACMA recognizes outstanding members for their dedication and hard work in the development and growth of critical markets, advocacy on behalf of the composites industry and their efforts to help others in our industry to prosper.
Join us to honor the recipients of the 2019 Membership Awards at a special ceremony at CAMX 2019 on September 23rd in Anaheim, CA.
ACMA will accept nominations for each of these award categories until July 15, 2019. Awards winners will be announced August 1.
ACMA will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year by honoring the pioneers of the composites industry. The Awards Committee will conduct a comprehensive review of the organization’s history and will recognize those individuals who have either developed, enhanced or created processes and/or materials that have advanced the composite industry. Up to 40 Pioneer Awards could be presented in CY 2019.

Lifetime Achievement Award
The ACMA Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a business owner who has been in the composites industry for at least 20 years and, through their involvement, has made a significant and lasting contribution to the industry.
The 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is William Seemann, President of Seemann Composites.

Hall of Fame Award
The ACMA Hall of Fame Award recognizes a member who has attained distinction among his or her peers through their efforts, involvement and accomplishments in the composites industry and its associations.
The 2018 Hall of Fame recipients are David Herzog, Director of R&D of Interplastic Corporation, and awarded posthumously to Jeff Craney, Former President of Crane Composites.

Outstanding Volunteer Award
ACMA's Outstanding Volunteer Award is given to a member who has contributed significant volunteer time and effort to achieve positive results on behalf of the industry through service to ACMA.
The 2018 Outstanding Volunteer Award recipient is Trevor Gundberg, Director of Composites Engineering of Vectorply Corporation.

The Chairman’s Award is given at the request of ACMA’s Chairman of the Board to an individual that the Board Chair feels has exhibited exemplary leadership and commitment to ACMA during the Chair’s tenure.
The 2018 Chairman’s Award Recipient is Jay Merrell, Executive Vice President of Norplex-Micarta and IDI Composites International
