Wind Blade Repair

ACMA is offering the Certified Composites Technician Wind Blade Repair (CCT-WBR) curriculum to help serve the growing demand for composites training in the wind energy sector for servicing and repairing wind turbines. Composite wind blades require maintenance and repairs to operate at peak efficiency and safety. This certification can be used to repair wind turbine blades or applied to other exciting industries—automotive, aviation, marine, sports and recreation, research and development, aerospace and more! The CCT-Wind Blade Repair has been updated and continues to undergo professional review as the industry expands. Hands-on wind blade repair instruction is available on site by partner school, ABARIS Training.

The Certified Composites Technician Wind Blade Repair program (CCT-WBR) provides a national composites certification standard to meet industry identified skill areas for current and future professionals working in this fast-paced field.

Training Opportunities

While no formal prerequisites are required for enrollment in the CCT–Wind Blade Repair program, ACMA recognizes select training providers whose hands-on courses support the skills taught in this certification.

All CCT–Wind Blade Repair candidates receive access to ACMA’s online study materials, including the digital edition of the Basic Composites Manual. This mobile-friendly resource supports flexible learning and helps prepare candidates for certification success.

New Certifications

Newly enrolled candidates will receive online study resources, including the digital edition of the Basic Composites Manual and the Wind Blade Repair Study Guide. Successful completion of the program—by studying, mastering the material, and earning 80% or higher on the final credential exam—results in a national certification and 3.5 CEUs.

Enrolled candidates will receive an online workbook that can be used for successful completion of the exam by earning 90% or higher. Successful completion results in national credential and earning 3.5 CEU’s per earned certification.
