November 3, 2020 (Arlington, VA) – The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) is excited to announce the inaugural International Composites Supply Chain Virtual Conference, taking place  June 15 – 16, 2021. The two-day virtual conference will explore new opportunities in supply chain management including digital technology, local supply networks, and recycling and the circular economy, across various market segments. Presenters from leading manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and end-users will share a broad range of perspectives and strategies, including global viewpoints from North and Central America, Europe, and China.

ACMA Interim President Kevin Barnett said, “As the industry works to meet growing demand for composites materials and solutions, composites manufacturers must address challenges like dependence on a large number of sole-source suppliers, long lead times, financial challenges, and large inventory needs, to name a few, to be successful and thrive in our changing marketplace. This new ACMA virtual conference will offer world-class education and real-life strategies and solutions from a global perspective, as well as networking with professionals from around the world for collaboration across complex supply chains and international markets.”

ACMA is accepting abstract submissions for the conference program through December 11. The conference program, featuring education sessions, panel discussions, real time Q&A, and virtual networking, will highlight the impact of the digital evolution on the composites supply chain, as well as COVID-19. Additionally, the program will detail the impact of the circular economy on the composites supply chain and provide solutions and best practices to maximize efficiency and collaboration. Submissions are encouraged from all market segments and international markets. The full conference program will be announced in February 2021.
