January 12, 2022 (Arlington, VA) – The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) – the world’s largest composites industry trade group – has announced that its Sustainability Days with Volkswagen Group will take place in-person on May 4-5, 2022, at the Volkswagen Headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany.

VW Group recently announced a corporate initiative to become carbon neutral by 2050. The latest iteration of the Composites Technology Day program will focus on vehicle sustainability and will connect ACMA members with the VW Group’s designers, engineers, and teams from ten brands—Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, ŠKODA, SEAT, CUPRA, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche, and Ducati.

Hundreds are expected to participate in a live exhibition hall, networking sessions and a comprehensive educational presentation focused on sustainable composite solutions and materials for automotive applications. Also, participating ACMA members will have the opportunity to meet with VW Group representatives in private conference rooms and attend a custom tour of the Volkswagen manufacturing facility. Finally, the VW group will lead an exclusive keynote with insights into their sustainability program, including the sustainability factors used internally to select materials and projects for further development.
