Composite Deck Boards Offers Natural Looking Surfaces With New Features
MoistureShield®, a division of Oldcastle APG, recently announced a new composite-based product within its offerings. The product, Meridian, is a composite crafted wood-plastic decking board that offers a natural-looking outdoor deck with minimal upkeep and cost.
The deck board will feature the look and feel of a traditional wood surface, along with added scratch resistance due to its composite finish. Also included are moisture resistance barriers to protect the panels from rot, insects, and other harmful elements.
"We are excited to combine our Solid Core manufacturing process with CoolDeck and TruTexture technologies into one product in the mid-priced composite category. The market has been asking for high-end aesthetics and performance at a reasonable price level, and we feel confident we will fill that need with Meridian.", said Matthew Bruce, Vice President of Sales, MoistureShield.
Meridian can be installed in the ground, on the ground, or underwater. There are also 12′, 16′, and 20′ length boards available in squared edge and grooved. Additionally, certain finishes offer up to 35% heat reduction as opposed to traditional capped composite boards in similar colors.
MoistureShield's Meridian deck boards are currently available for purchase in select parts of the United States, with increased availability in 2021.
