Speedkore’s 1970 Dodge Charger Hellraiser Features Exposed Carbon Fiber Body
Speedkore engineers and manufactures custom performance vehicles with the goal of reducing weight and increasing horsepower. Prepreg autoclave carbon fiber is used to lightweight the vehicles, and the revved-up power is achieved with fine-tuned drivetrains designed specifically for each vehicle. The Hellraiser Charger, built for actor and comedian Kevin Hart, a fan of custom American muscle cars, features these Speedkore enhancements and more.
The Hellraiser Charger’s body features exposed house-made aerospace-grade, pre-impregnated carbon fiber. A sleek look is added to the muscle car with BASF Glasurit paint and a gloss clear coat over the exposed weave carbon fiber. Metal pieces of the vehicle are coated in a gray titanium finish and admirers can take a peek at what’s under the hood thanks to a customized cutout and carbon fiber cover.
For safety, the chassis is reinforced with a custom SpeedKore Frame with a 14-point roll cage. The front suspension of the Hellraiser comes from GM’s C6 Corvette. The engine is a 7.0-liter Hellephant 426 hemi crate engine boasting 1,000 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque. Speedkore custom-designed the suspension system and added Penske double-adjustable shocks. The transmission is a ZF 8HP90 8-speed automatic. HRE S201 3-piece wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and Brembo brakes keep the Hellraiser rolling and stopping.
The custom interior of the Hellraiser is as souped-up as the engine, with Recaro GT Sportster seats and Simpson Racing 4-point seatbelts. The audio system was also custom made. The style of the original 1970 Charger is represented in the bespoke center console, steering wheel, dashboard, and instruments and gauges.
The price of the Hellraiser Charger was not made available.
