As the year winds down and we reflect on ACMA’s milestone moments, we are reminded of the incredible support and dedication that members like you have shown to growing the composites industry through ACMA programs. We look forward to offering an exciting lineup of events, education, and resources in 2023 – registration is already open for February’s Infrastructure & Sustainability Fly-In and May’s North American Pultrusion Conference. ACMA Announces New Mission, Vision, & Values

ACMA in Washington: The Voice of Composites, Advocating for our Industry 

ACMA’s Government Affairs team had a busy 2022, working to further our message in Washington and to bring timely information to members. ACMA updated our U.S. membership map, reintroduced our industry to Congressional offices, and highlighted key opportunities and issues to membership. Industry Collaboration Soars at ACMA’s Thermoplastic Composites Conference 

In March, nearly 240 industry professionals gathered in San Diego, CA, for the Thermoplastic Composites Conference (TCC). Attendees gained fresh insights from OEMs on materials, applications, design, and production requirements. Presenters from across the globe shared solutions to manufacturing challenges as well as new business opportunities in the aerospace, automotive, and energy markets. Save the date for the next TCC, happening March 26, 2024 – March 28, 2024, in San Diego, CA.  

ACMA Introduces New Climate Impacts Project at Sustainability Forum I 

ACMA launched its Climate Impacts Project during the association’s first Sustainability Forum, held in March at the ACMA HQ in Arlington, VA. The new initiative will equip manufacturers of FRP composite and cast polymer products with tools, education, and technical resources to provide their customers with important information about the climate impacts associated with the raw materials used and production of composites. 

ACMA Hosts First Composites Educational Event for AAM Community 

More than 200 industry professionals from the advanced air mobility (AAM) community joined us in April for ACMA’s virtual AAM Composites Technology Days. The event featured four dynamic days of education and networking, where 20+ ACMA members shared their composites solutions with end-users from the rapidly expanding advanced air mobility sector.
